Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a borehole cost in Uganda? +
Borehole costs vary significantly depending on depth, geology, pump type, and location. A basic hand-pump borehole may cost UGX 12–18M. A solar-powered submersible system for community use typically runs UGX 30–60M. We provide free site assessments and detailed BOQ quotations before any commitment is required.
How long does borehole drilling take? +
A standard community borehole from site mobilisation to pump installation takes 10–21 days depending on depth and geology. Our teams can mobilise within 5 business days of contract signing for most locations in Uganda.
Do you work with NGOs on funded projects? +
Yes β€” we are experienced in implementing donor-funded WASH projects for NGOs including WaterAid, UNICEF, World Vision, IRC, and many others. We understand donor reporting, WASH standards, and logical framework requirements. Contact us for our NGO partnership prospectus.
What warranty do you offer on boreholes and solar systems? +
We provide a 12-month full warranty on all installations covering parts and labour. Solar pump systems carry a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on panels and 2 years on pump motors. We also offer affordable annual maintenance contracts.
Can you work in remote areas without road access? +
Yes. We have light drilling equipment that can be transported by motorbike and hand-carried to extremely remote sites. We have completed projects in parts of Karamoja, West Nile, and South Sudan with no vehicle access.
Do you offer irrigation system financing? +
We work with selected microfinance institutions and agricultural lenders to offer flexible payment terms for smallholder farmers and farmer cooperatives. Ask about our AquaFlow Farmer Finance Programme when requesting a quote.
